Brian's Mission

Brian's Mission

Brian's Mission

As a retired Police Patrolman and Marine Corps Veteran, I work passionately as a First Responder Recovery Coach to help First Responders all over the United States find their path to healing. From treatment to aftercare, I help individuals find the way to thrive in their recovery using lived experience.

I work within the National Marine Cops League and the Department of New Jersey Marine Corps League, as well as various non-profits, that covers suicide awareness, suicide prevention, mental health, and substance use within the First Responder Community.

Services

Brian's Mission

Brian's Mission

I offer several placements and guidance towards treatment while additionally educating individuals on recovery practices and navigating the daily life of a First Responder in active recovery. My goal is simple: to offer guidance through each individuals recovery process and working together to make sure that process shows successful outcomes.

Placements I offer and work towards are as follows:

  • Treatment Placement (Inpatient/Residential)
  • Aftercare Placement (PHP/IOP/OP)
  • Individual Therapy
  • Community Resources

Approach

Brian's Mission

Approach

Approaching each individual with empathy and compassionate care by someone who has lived through the trauma and recovery process.

As a retired Police Officer and Veteran, I understand the struggles and stigma attached to wanting help, getting help, and becoming better. We don't do this alone, we can't do this alone.

I passionately and whole-heartedly understand everything that comes with finding the right plan towards recovery. I take these approaches with everyone I come in contact with that wants to find their recovery.

Flashpoint Podcast

Brian Gillespie joins Erin to talk about the moment everything changed. After 10 years of sobriety and a lifetime of showing up for everyone else, Brian finally said the one thing he swore he never would. That decision didn’t just save others it saved him. Diving deep into what most people never say out loud: the hidden trauma, emotional shutdown, and internal war that too often go unresolved in the responder world.

After the Tones Drop Podcast

Sometimes, asking for help can be one of the hardest things a person will do. It requires a certain level of vulnerability, surrender and trust. However, that’s just what Marine Corps veteran and retired law enforcement officer, Brian Gillespie did. Brian, born and raised in Jersey City, came to terms with his own struggles with substance abuse more than eight years ago and hasn't looked back.
